Villa La Paneretta

In the heart of Chianti Classico, an impressive example of Tuscan Renaissance architecture.

Otherwise known as Castello della Paneretta, it is a historic noble residence dating back to the Renaissance. The villa is nestled in a breathtaking hillside landscape, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves that produce some of the region's finest wines and olive oils.

Built as a stronghold in the 14th century, following the destruction of the nearby Cepparello Castle after the famous Battle of Montaperti, the villa was renovated in the 16th century by the Capponi family. It features an imposing and symmetrical facade, adorned with decorative elements typical of the period and dominated by a mighty keep. Frequented by leading artists and exponents of the time, it later became part of the estate of the Strozzi family, who continued its renovation; property maintained until the early 1980s.

Inside, the villa retains decorations that reflect the refined taste of its former owners. In addition to its architectural beauty, it is renowned for its wine production: the estate has had a long tradition of producing Chianti Classico wines for centuries. The villa's vineyards, cultivated according to traditional and sustainable methods, produce wines that are internationally appreciated for their quality and authenticity.
