Malaspina Palace

Elegant late Renaissance building reflecting Tuscan charm, witness to centuries of history and culture.

An imposing architectural jewel overlooking the village's main square, the Malaspina palace is a fine example of a late Florentine Renaissance building, characterized by an elegant and well-proportioned façade, enriched by artistic details such as the stone cornices of the windows and doorways.

Its origins are rooted in the Middle Ages when it was owned by the Ticci family and then passed to the noble Malaspina family; after major restoration work completed in 2011 and carried out by the municipality, the palace has returned to its former glory.

Inside, it preserves spacious rooms with frescoed ceilings and decorations that reflect the taste and culture of the time. The structure, in addition to being a symbol of prestige and power of successive lineages, has served various functions over the centuries, adapting to the needs of the community.

Today it is a vibrant cultural center that hosts art exhibitions, events, concerts and conferences. Thanks to these initiatives, the palace has become a focal point for the promotion of art, food and wine, and local culture, attracting visitors and scholars interested in the history, art, and architecture of Tuscany.
