Black Castle

Elegant noble residence between medieval history and hospitality overlooking the hills of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa.

A historic structure that embodies Tuscany's rich cultural and architectural heritage, for more than 900 years the striking Castello Del Nero was owned by illustrious families: the Del Nero, Torrigiani and Trotta families.

Dating back to the 13th century, the castle stands perched on a scenic hill, surrounded by lush vineyards and olive groves, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Its strategic location, halfway between Florence and Siena, made it an important landmark at the time.

Typical medieval Tuscan architecture, with its imposing walls and tower telling centuries of history. The structure has undergone various restorations over the centuries, but has preserved its original and distinctive appearance.

To date, Castello del Nero has been converted from an aristocratic residence into a luxury accommodation facility, where guests can enjoy a unique experience immersed in Tuscan history and culture.
