An ancient testimony of art and faith located in the picturesque setting of the Vicariate of San Casciano, Montespertoli and Tavarnelle, part of the Archdiocese of Florence, the church dedicated to St. Ruffignano stands as a spiritual and cultural jewel from its splendid surroundings.
The architectural structure of the church reflects a perfect balance between simplicity and solemnity, typical of Tuscan country churches, with its stone facade and sober but elegant interior. The interior of the church has three aisles of different sizes divided by six pillars that testify to its Romanesque origins, to which the bell tower and portico also refer.
The frescoes and works of art that adorn the interior testify to the rich history and deep devotion that has characterized this community over the centuries, most notably highlighting a Crucifix in wood dating from the mid-15th century.
To this day, the church regularly hosts church services, community events and celebrations that strengthen the bond between the faithful and their spiritual heritage.
